Trackback to Iraq

Catching up on some random reading tonight.  One article from Dr. Dobbs that I really enjoyed was A Manifesto for Collaborative Tools which gets into designing common frameworks for groupware/collaborative computing systems using concepts such as links and trackbacks.

For my daily middle eastern news fix, I was just looking into these stories coming out around the Iraqi insurgency being coordinated by Saddam's Secret Service, the M14.  Pretty fascinating stuff.  Apparently, they concocted this entire plan while the world debated what to do for a year.

Out of the loop

I am a little out of sorts.

All sorts of band breakups and whatnot going down:  Guided by Voices, Wu-Tang, Orbital and Denali.  

I also noticed that the new Modest Mouse and Ben Kweller have arrived in stores, yet I have not picked them up yet. Kill Bill 2 is out and I still haven't seen it yet. And...to top it off, I have two Sopranos episodes on tape that I haven't watched yet. What the hell has become of me?

Oh yes, vacation.
