Interesting day today. Spent most of the morning and afternoon attempting to get all of the development tools I will be using loaded to my workstation. Afterwards, I went downstairs to try and buy a Powerball ticket, only to find out that they don’t sell them in Virginia, only DC proper. Oh well. Afterwards, I headed back to my hotel to meet my Aunt Bev and Uncle Terry for a quick pop followed by dinner. Its always great to see them. After quite a few more pops, I was ready to retire back at the ranch. In my solitary time, I managed to polish off Gore Vidal’s incredible article about the government’s handling of the Timothy McVeigh case in this month’s Vanity Fair….definitely a must read. I also got a call in to Casey out in St. Louis whom I often look forward to talking to although I more often forget to call or email. Luckily we got to have a good chat about old times, computers and kayaks. Tomorrow, I am hoping on actually getting something done at the office and then taking the Metro after work to go see some other areas of DC and/or Virginia. Maybe I can get a few cool pictures while I’m at it. Right now I think my eyes are about to pop out of my head, but Kevin Smith is coming on the Tonight Show in five. Until later.
