Just got back from Georgetown where I met a dude named John from work that happens to be on assignment in Maryland. We hit some Tex-Mex place for dinner and drinks, where at the same time there was this group of really giddy DC college girls who were clearly going out for a group dinner before a night on the town. Towards the end of dinner, one of the girls fell off of her chair and hit the ground, where she stayed for a few minutes and laughed uncontrollably, before saying, “Believe it or not, I haven’t even been drinking.” NOT! Unfortunately, the trail of half-empty, frozen strawberry marguerita glasses gave them away. After a couple more drinks and chit-chat, John and I headed out and went our separate ways at the Foggy Bottom Metro stop. I took the train two stops too far, before I realized that I got on the orange and not the blue line which I should have, and so it took me a tad longer to get home than I would have liked.
In any event, I finished my second VB programming assignment today (special thanks to Brian for his counsel via IM). The three nectar girls that I share an office with also invited me out to lunch next week at a lovely restaurant in town called CCR. 🙂 All in all, life is pretty decent. I’m looking forward to the weekend, when I can relax with friends, take care of stupid errands and have an extra day to sleep! There is a god. One last note…you should read this great little piece of writing by Swerdloff over at fictionsuits.
