Let’s see if I can sum up the weekend quickly and get to bed. Friday, Mr.Geller and I rolled out to Hoboken to shoot some pool and met up with Brian at the Brownstone. Pint after pint was consumed, and several games of pool later, I met a nice cute girl who came back to Brian’s with us where we played guitar and sang songs. I was good. She was sweet. I also didn’t make it home until about 4:30, even though I was intending to wake up at 6 to leave for Schwartz’s camping trip.
I woke at 9:45 with a pounding headache and not everything packed yet. I was ready in 20 minutes and bolted out the door. By around 11:30, I was driving through Montague, NJ for the first time ever. I didn’t get to Narrowsburg, NY till almost 1pm. I was the last to arrive. After setting up the tents, we went out for an afternoon of rafting which was fun, but way too long, considering the heat. Coming back was the best part, though. We ate tons of food, drank tons of beer, played guitar, built campfires, made smores, listened to tunes and talked until we passed out. All in all a good night. Happy birthday, Mr. Schwartz. Also, happy birthday Kate, who had hers on Friday night. I hope you had fun this weekend as well.
Sunday was back in the rat race, trying to get more crap for the apartment. I also found out that I would be working in Weehauken for the next two weeks. This is pretty cool, considering it is about two miles from my new place. I went there today, and while I was bored, it is nice to be working with people closer to my age and so close to my place again. Tonight I took everything that was still in boxes out of the boxes. I read an article on Modest Mouse, did some bills, cooked dinner, and washed dishes. I finally think I am starting to feel like I live here. There is still something not quite right with my phone, though.
