Ok…so, I will make a little update now, since it is after midnight and I am wired from caffiene and I have nothing better to do. The weekend turned out to be pretty rad. Saturday, I finally took my guitar in for a checkup at the Guitar Bar and then headed into the city to meet up with Jen and her friend Chris at the Guggenheim. It was pretty crazy to find out that they had painted the entire interior black for this Brazilian exhibit. Anyway…they also had a Norman Rockwell exhibit which was awesome; I have never seen any of his works in person. They even had all the old magazine covers that the works were orignally printed on. Pretty sweet. After that, we made our way downtown past the Met, through the Park, to Rockefeller Center, to Times Square….finally getting on a train down to the village for dinner. Down in the West Village, we met up with one of Chris’ friends and had dinner at a cool little Italian place. By that time, Chris was ready to rage and Jen and I were pretty beat, so we headed back to Bayonne to chill out with Chris and Gina at their little get together. I finally got to hang out with our neighbors Patrick and Kerry, as well as Demitri and Audra, and our old friend Craig. Overall, a smashing time.
After being physically and mentally exhausted on Saturday, I enjoyed a nice long sleep on Sunday morning followed by a huge, ultra-carb breakfast at the Broadway diner. Yum. I even managed to scoop up a nectar new pair of shoes before shoving off for Washington. This is the stuff that great weekends are made of.
I had a hard time getting myself together today. Aside from being very tired….my mind was pre-occupied with a number of things. Although the weekend was great….I did hear alot of very unpleasant things during the past couple of days, all of which have just beaten me down a bit. While I won’t get into any of them specifically, I can only say that I love my friends and to see any of them in pain, pains me too. Luckily, by the afternoon, things got better….I found out that my guitar may be fixable for a small sum of money, I may be up for a promotion, and sick friends are hopefully getting better. 😉 The final blow of the day was finding out that friday’s deliverable was pushed up to tomorrow morning, thus I am wired on coffee on a monday night after beind huddled over the computer for the past few hours. I am now going to have a glass of wine and hopefully pass out in my beautiful soft new sheets.
