Ok….let’s see if I can sum up the last week for you, just in case it is one of my last opportunities to do so. This wacked-out week began last Friday when I rolled into the city to meet a bunch of work folks at Peter’s up on the Upper West Side. I was joined by Lo early on, and we rapped with some girls before heading back to his place and drink 25 year old scotch with Lorilo and head back out. We went to Prohibition to meet Marsha, Anna, Lisa and crew for drinks; later, Eric would inform me that I was a bad boy. Waking up at Lo’s on Saturday morning, I had a cup of coffee and a good chat with Lorilo, and then headed back to Jersey in my stinking friday night clothes. I spent the rest of the day cleaning the apartment and myself and then headed over to Schwartz’s to scoop him up and bring him to Marsha’s birthday extravaganza at the Rubber Monkey. I have to say that this party was pretty awesome, partly because it was 75% women and partly because the bartenders were making absolutely-powerful cocktails. Sunday began on Schwartz’s couch, continued at Home Depot, a visit to Alicia and Jason in Secaucus, and finally a trip back to Old Bridge to see Stacy and Danielle and Devlin. Monday, Dave and Mark and Virginia and I saw Sloan at the Bowery Ballroom, and again we were blown away. The rest of the week, I basically spent feeling sick as a dog, but happy that I did not have to be in Washington, DC. I baked two pumpkin-pecan pies on Wednesday night, and brought one to Quagy and Jen (keeping one for myself), dropped by Quagy’s for a couple hours, and headed back home to watch a video. Cruised to Brooklyn yesterday, although still feeling yucky, and had Thanksgiving with the cousins and new baby-cousin Jake. I managed to get a bit of Christmas shopping done today and hit the gym, but I am still feeling like garbage.
Other than that, there’s not much else. I am not sure if I feel well enough to go out tonight, Jimmy has decided to get mad at me for something that did not happen and then badmouth me to a hundred people, World War III has barely begun, and I have a horrible feeling that George Harrison is going to expire within the next couple of weeks (God forbid). I think alot of other people could agree that 2001 basically sucked. Bring on the new year….it can only get better.
