So, a little late, but I wanted to say that it was a really good weekend. Friday, Dave and I rolled into Hoboken to meet up with Cary, P-Site and John. We all imbibed in big Newcastles at the Bear and then McSwiggin’s (where everyone else bailed) and finally Scotland Yard where Dave and I enjoyed many drinks of Jamisons backed with frosty Guinness pints. Saturday, Jen and I rolled over to the Raptor Trust in the Great Swamp….totally awesome. I haven’t done anything like that in a while. I also got my v-day cards (yes…not one but four 🙂 hee) that day, which was just a great experience in so many ways. I don’t remember the last time I actually enjoyed this silly holiday. Anyway…chinese food and a movie (The Anniversary Party – a pretty damn good flick, although slightly long) rounded out the night. Sunday started with a low-key afternoon in Hoboken, picking up the newly repaired guitar (woo-hoo!), buying cd’s and random crap and having coffees. It closed down with ice-dancing at the olympics and a funny game of Scattergories. I was pretty sorry to see Sunday end, actually. Luckily, I didn’t have to be back in DC on Monday and was able to pick up the parents’ birthday present, which they loved. A nice dinner at home and then it was back on the road to DC.
It was hard getting back into work again today. I am really looking forward to the weekend though, and its only a few short days away. Tomorrow I promise myself that I will actually go to the gym (I have no excuse since they just opened up the new WSC down the block) and call Stacy. Now, I should just go to bed.
