So, today I’m nursing a pretty bad headache with plenty of hot, yummy coffee. I’m working on this action plan while occassionally reading through the GIAC documentation regarding their various security certifications. I really have to get off of my butt and begin doing some training in that area. They moved my desk today to a spot across the building, out of site from the boss, but in a far noisier corner. I have one more meeting today and then my responsibilities are basically done.

I’m looking forward to my rendezvous with Jen tomorrow in Philly. I can definitely use a couple days away from this dang place. In other news, incident.org has a great paper up on the profiling of network attackers after they strike. You can imagine that this will be a pretty big deal with places such as the National Infrastructure Protection Center (NIPC) in the near future, if it is not already. Imagine coupling that sort of analysis with behavioral analysis techniques? Awesome. Anyway…you should note: This paper is not for those easily bored with technical details.
