1. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly:
- Newsletter subscription. When you subscribe to Madam I’m Adam, we collect your email address (and name, if you provide one) through the WordPress/Jetpack subscription form.
- Comments. If you leave a comment on a post, WordPress collects your name, email address, and IP address, along with the comment itself.
- Contact form. If you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically:
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand site traffic — pages viewed, time on site, referring sites, approximate location, browser and device type, and IP address (which Google may use in aggregated, de-identified form).
- Session recording. We use Microsoft Clarity to record anonymized session behavior (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement) to understand how visitors use the site. Clarity masks personal information by default and does not identify you individually.
- Cookies. This site uses cookies set by WordPress (for core site function and comment handling), Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity. See Section 3 below.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Send the Madam I’m Adam newsletter to subscribers
- Display and moderate comments
- Respond to messages sent through the contact form
- Understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it
- Detect and prevent spam or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Email Subscription Management
Subscriber data for the newsletter is managed through WordPress/Jetpack’s built-in subscription system. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we will remove your email address from the active sending list.
5. Data Sharing
We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate the site and newsletter (listed in Section 3 above), each of which processes data under their own privacy policy. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
If we introduce paid products, courses, or premium subscriptions in the future, this policy will be updated to describe any additional payment processors (such as Stripe) used to handle that information, and you’ll be notified before any new data collection begins.
6. Data Retention
We retain subscriber email addresses for as long as you remain subscribed, and comment/contact form data for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain the site and respond to inquiries, unless you request deletion sooner.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of that information
- Withdraw consent (e.g., unsubscribe from the newsletter) at any time
- Object to or restrict certain processing

If you are located in the EU/UK and believe we have not handled your data lawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
